Here are our Jan-Feb prayer requests. Thank you so much for praying!
PRAISES (and some prayer requests)
– In case you are wondering from last time’s praises and prayer blog, the rains did start and have been pretty strong. So, it seems at this point, that Zambia will be okay rainfall-wise this year!
-The C.R.O.S.S. Project Hospice seminar went really well at the end of November and early December. Pray that the churches that received the training put the material into practice as they minister to family members and people in the community suffering from HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
-We really enjoyed spending the holidays with our teammates. It was so nice that they were all around this year!
-Charlie is doing really well and is a happy, healthy, busy little boy. We are so thankful that, even though Kristin and I have been sick recently, God continues to protect Charlie from any kind of sickness.
-Church of the Nazarene in Chipata Compound just did their C.R.O.S.S. Project graduation on Friday. Please pray that they use the material that they were trained in and teach it to others in their church and community. Pray that God would give them hearts of compassion, mercy, and boldness and that they would reach out to those in their church and community suffering from HIV/AIDS.

-Please continue to pray for us as we figure out what it means and how to manage being a family of three on the mission field for the first time.
-Pray for unity, endurance, hope, and joy in Jesus for the ACTION Zambia team and sweet times in the Word each day.
Our Ministry – The C.R.O.S.S. Project HIV/AIDS Prayer Requests:
-Please pray for Church of the Nazarene in Kanyama Compound as we finish teaching the C.R.O.S.S. Project curriculum to them (we have four lessons to go).
– Please pray for the Ciyanjano Christian Campgrounds staff that we will be training every Wednesday morning for this term (Feb-May). Pray that God would awaken their hearts to taste and see the beauty of God’s sovereign goodness even in HIV/AIDS and domestic abuse; that they would apply the Bible to their own lives and families; that they would go out into their local communities, taking what they have learned, and share the gospel, minister to physical and spiritual needs, and train others.
-Pray that God would lead us to two addition churches to start training in February. We have some leads now and just need to get things nailed down for the upcoming term (Feb-May).
-Pray that God would pour out His grace on the Zambian Church and that it would glorify God in how it relates to HIV/AIDS and domestic abuse.
-Pray for more money to come in for Bibles that we give out to those who we train in the C.R.O.S.S. Project. One Bible costs between $8-$10, depending on what language it is in. Click here if you would like to donate to help get Bibles for our upcoming “graduations,” and in the Comment box at the bottom of the page, type “Bibles.”
