C.R.O.S.S., Day 1

After 4 days of running all over town and buying appliances, furniture, cleaning supplies, and Zambian coffee (which was somewhat disappointing thus far…but we’ll keep trying to find a good Zambian roast – that is, unless anyone wants to start sending us some Caribou, Eight  O’Clock, Seattle’s Best, Cameron’s, etc!), we met with Tim Hilty, John Chitambo, and Eta Imasiku to make our 2-year vision and budget.

We had a great meeting and are so excited to get to work with John and Eta. We love their passion for the glory of God, the Church, Zambia, and people, especially those who are suffering.

Tomorrow we hope to get to work at our house painting the kitchen, cleaning closets and tubs and sinks, waxing our parquet flooring, picking out colors and fabric for curtains, and looking at a bed for our guest room. There is no way that will all get done tomorrow, but it’s good to have a list to work from.

Our internet is supposed to get hooked up on Monday, and then we will try to Skype a little more. And hopefully we’ll have some pictures of our halfway-put-together house!
