Remembering the Children of the Street in Lusaka

I have been going through my computer lately and trying to weed through things I really want to keep and things that can be trashed and things that I want to keep but move to my external hard drive. In the process of doing this, I came across a Street Kids slideshow that I had put together a while ago.

Many of you know that when Kristin and I were both in Zambia before for a year and a half we worked in the ACTION Zambia Street Kids ministry. It’s hard to believe that so many of these kids are now young men and women struggling to make a living and a life in Zambia. I was thinking today how thankful I am to the many people that I met and worked with to share the Gospel with these kids and try to show them Christ’s love. Thanks so much to Kristin (Carlson) Dearth, Steve Ripley, Blake Walburg, Sevelino Vasco, Robert Chisha, Chalo Khosa, Kina, Gina (Brandini) Hobbs, Melody (Everson) Walburg, Brenda Savill and so many more short-term teams and volunteers that helped reach out to these kids with the Hope of the Gospel. Even though Kristin and I are going back this time to Zambia to work with the C.R.O.S.S Team and HIV/AIDS, we will both always cherish and thank God for the time that we were able to spend with these amazing kids and partners in the Gospel.
