As I have been closing in on graduation from nursing school, many people have asked us if we are going to start a family…as if graduation is synonymous with getting pregnant. Well, with all the kiddos in our families, we’ve decided to stick with the “rent a child” program for now. On Friday and Saturday we watched my sister and brother-in-law’s little guy – Josiah. Since Friday was the day his adoption was formalized in court, we celebrated and let him do all sorts of fun things – stay up late, ride in a chitenge (the cheaper, African version of a Baby Bjorn), get a bath, get held pretty much every second, and just hang out with Auntie Kristin and Uncle Derek (the funnest part of it all, of course!). Here are a couple pictures from our day as parents…and don’t get any bright ideas about wanting to kidnap him, because I’ve already got first dibs!
