‘Tis the Season

4 reasons to give instead of get:

G – God gave us His Son, and He is the most happy being I know. (Those who give more are usually more happy).
I – “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Jesus said that (Acts 20:35).
V – Valuable lessons can be learned from giving – like Jesus becoming our treasure, instead of money being our treasure.
E – Extraordinary things in the world can be done through giving…even giving small gifts.

2 places to give (and increase your happiness):

1. The C.R.O.S.S. HIV project in Zambia, where at least 1 out of every 5 persons is infected with HIV. It is one of the hardest hit countries in the world by this deadly virus. Churches Ready to Overcome Silence and Stigma is ACTION Zambia’s way of fighting back in the name of Jesus. Currently, there are three amazing Zambian nationals providing vital training to churches – people are learning how HIV is spread, what Jesus has to do with it, and how they can make a difference in their communities. Unfortunately, the monthly support for these three workers is almost gone. Each of them live on $10/day – would you consider supporting one of these workers for one day? Or support all three for one day for $30! They need you to be able to continue spreading the Good News to those affected by HIV in Zambia.

2. World Relief is spear-heading a major effort to help the Democratic Republic of Congo. Tutsi rebels have displaced over 250,000 people from their homes and villages in Eastern DRC (Goma).
